Lecture June 3rd: “The Vastness of Christ” / Jay Wegter

CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS MINISTRIES Presents:

The Vastness of Christ (Col. 1:15-21)

With Special guest speaker Jay Wegter, Executive Director, Gospel For Life and Adjunct Professor of The Master’s College

Christian thinkers have rightly observed that one of the weaknesses of Evangelicalism is its tendency toward compartmentalization.  In other words, piety has often been construed as personal, private, and subjective rather than relevant to every daily decision.  It is common for believers to live a kind of disconnect that divorces the spiritual from the physical world.  In this message we will learn why Christ as Lord of the cosmos unifies both visible and invisible reality in Himself.   We’ll discover from Colossians chapter one that because of Christ’s lordship over all, there are no sacred, secular divisions—every square inch of the Christian’s experience belongs to God.  Our goal then is to learn to bring every facet of our lives under the lordship of Christ so that “He might come to have first place in everything.”  This glorifies God and fills us with joy.  –Jay Wegter
