Where will you spend ETERNITY? / Timothy D. Oliver ><>

Disclaimer: true love tells the truth…yes, God is love, and very merciful. God is also just, righteous, and holy etc. Keep this in mind.

Because we can’t trust our own hearts as the Bible says:

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

The Bible communicates we need to trust the LORD and His ways:

Proverbs 3:5-7  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.

Proverbs 14:12  There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

Obviously the above Scriptures reveal a serious truth. So its important we hold fast to God’s eternal Word. The next verse you’ll read was one that really impacted me as I began to trust the Lord. It was also the first Bible verse I memorized. Here it is:

Proverbs 1:7  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

As you continue to read this piece, please keep in mind the verses you have just read…. And now, it is my prayer, that the Lord will truly guide you into all truth and eternal life as you read His Word (“faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” Romans 10:17) in this short writ.

This is one of life’s most important questions. Where you’ll spend ETERNITY—is just that—for all ETERNITY. The Bible is clear that your soul will live forever in one of two eternal places: HEAVEN or HELL! This is no joke. This is reality, period!

Matthew 25:46 “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Because of mankind’s inherited sin from our first parents, Adam and Eve, we have all have sinned:

Romans 3:23 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 5:18 18 Therefore, as through one man’s [Adam] offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s [JESUS] righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

Romans 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And here is one of my favorite verses, and a blessed promise of God:

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Yes, this is blessed assurance and hope from the Scriptures from God who cannot lie:

Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began

2 Timothy 3:16  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The Bible is true and trustworthy, a historically accurate book, that is more accurate and has more copies of the texts (manuscripts) than any other documents of antiquity (I will deal with this subject in a later piece on this website, the Lord willing). Though the Bible can be proved through so many sundry and various ways the fact remains that is by faith one believes unto salvation:

Ephesians 2:8-10  For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Hebrews 11:1,3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

Galatians 2:16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

Galatians 3:22  But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Many people claim to be “Christians” or “believe in God.” However, it’s been my experience that numerous folks that make these claims are far from the kingdom of God. Jesus said:

John 3:3  Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 1:12-13  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

When one is born again this a miraculous work of God, not some mere “decision to accept Jesus.” Much more could be said on this matter. That fact remains, those who truly call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. And their life will reflect this transformation. Time will tell if it is a genuine conversion or a false profession of faith.

I’m a street preacher because of the need for people to be saved from their sins and eternal damnation—HELL. I fear for those who will not repent of their sins and ask God to save them. HELL is a very terrible place and I want to warn everyone, as Jesus did, to repent and escape His Almighty wrath (Jesus spoke more about Hell than heaven):

Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Matthew 10:28 28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Mark 9:43-48  “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched — 44 “where ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.’ 45 “And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched — 46 “where ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.’ 47 “And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire — 48 “where ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.’

Revelation 20:14-15  Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8  “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

The Reality of Hell

Yes, I’m a zealous street preacher and follower of Christ Jesus my Lord. If you understand the Bible by the Spirit of God and know it’s true, you too, would have to go out into the world to tell everyone about it. The Scriptures are also clear there is no other way of salvation and the forgiveness of sins except through and by Jesus:

John 14:6  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Acts 4:10-12  “let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 “This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Romans 10:11-13  For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

To all who read this piece, I plead with you to repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no better message that one can communicate then the above; that one can have forgiveness of sins, granted eternal life, and freed from the bondage of sin. I leave this for now. May the Lord reveal Himself to all those who don’t truly know Him as Savior and Lord of their life. One last Scripture:

Psalm 145:17-21  The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. 18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. 19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. 20 The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. 21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh shall bless His holy name Forever and ever.
